EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR AUDIT & RISK COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON
Ngā Tāngata Tiaki o Whanganui Trust is the governance entity for Whanganui Iwi for the purposes of the Whanganui River settlement.
Ngā Tāngata Tiaki o Whanganui is calling for expressions of interest for a suitably qualified and experienced independent person to lead its audit and risk committee as Chairperson.
The Committee has the primary responsibility of overseeing and approving the organisation-wide financial and nonfinancial risk management practices.
If you have proven experience and skills in:
- Audit and risk committees, including acting as Chair
- Assessing compliance with legislation and statutory requirements
- Evaluating financial systems, procedures, and reporting practices
- Expertise in risk management, including identification, assessment, and mitigation
- Developing internal controls, quality assurance processes, and risk management frameworks
- Familiarity and understanding of the social, cultural, economic, and political landscape of the Whanganui region.
